Red Button Repeat

Hi there

I'm an LG408 owner from Australia. Thanks to all the contributors here for all the fine work being done on making these devices more user friendly.

I have a question regarding the Red Button repeat function.

When I first upgraded to the latest modified firmware, this feature worked fine. However, for some reason, now when I use it, it only brings up the last watched recording starting at the beginning of the recording, not at the last point watched.

In fact, I recall that the device used to remember the time any recording or saved video file had been stopped at. For example, watching a tv show stored on an external USB hardrive, the LG would recall where the program had previously been stopped.

This no longer seems to function, and I'm not sure why or how this happened.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

YES!!!
You are very right, is a known issue, we have realized after the releasing the firmware, sorry about that.
Personally, I have deactivated the red button functionality from config file, and deleted the bookmark.db file,
so at least, i have the restart point where it exactly stoppped.

Hope to have some time in September to fix that.

Just to let you know, I read in another thread somewhere about running the '931' custom script, which clears some data file?

Anyway, I tried this, and it seems to work, because the functionality came back.

Yes, thinking a while......
yes, 931 deletes the actual bookmark.db,
so a brand new is created by the equipment,
then in the next boot of equipment, PM inserts the necessary rules (triggers) in the bookmark.db,
so it is like if just restarted the firmware from zero, and start to works

You are a genius, very simple thing but i did not realised.
you know sometimes people tend to look for the more complicated solutions.

OK then, this 931 is a very valuable workaround of the issue; (going to activate it now in my machine )
but on any account, if I find some free time, i will try to fix the issue for the next release.
