MS400h deletes recording when power disconnected

Hi,

yesterday i had a timer recording and MS400h had recorded about 50 min when power disconnected(no no, I did'nt disconnect, it was blackout). When turned on again, the recording was lost.
Ok, maybe some kind of anomaly, so I tried reproduce the problem and that's it - put the MS400 to record, looked with samba and with telnet and the recording was there, then disconnected power and when turned on again, the recording was lost.
I looked at /usr/local/etc/rcS and /etc/rcS but did'nt find any rm command, does anybody have an idea how to disble this behaviour? ...and sorry for my bad english:)

I'm sorry you had that recording lost.

This is not like old VHS tape, that at least all the recording till blackout are safe;
in this case, all is digital and stored in a temp. file ending like _R0.ts
at the end of the recording the application changes the name of temp. recording into final filename.
So, now, I am afraid that the recording has been lost, or in this temp. filename ... you can check,
and see if find this file.

There was no temp files in the REC folder. I know differences between old VHS and digitally stored media but... for example if I use mbox format, postfix is currently receiving e-mail and blackout occurs, then the mbox file may be corrupt but I don't lose all emails. Saving recordings should be similar and I dont believe that MS400h has write buffer for 50min recording so i suspect that some script(or busybox's fsck?) deletes partial recordings;)
Thanks anyway, at home i'll do another test to be sure - disconnect power when recording, remove HDD from MS400h and look the contents of REC folder with computer.

Very interesting testing you have done,
so you want to say is that LG have a kind of automatic cleaner process at boot time, that eliminate partial
recordings from the hard disk.

Do you think we might have add a trick that copies all these files_R00.ts into files.ts ...?

It seems LG is deleting all files ending in _R00.ts ...
