Re: Main processor RTD 1183 MD
http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/productsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=9&PFid=26&Level=3&Conn=2&ProdID=238
Saludos,

Sorry,
Confirmed at last!
The trouble is that we still have no technical information on the chip. Realtek does not include on its website.
However, looking at the 'features' of the LG, it seems very similar to a chip RTD1073.

If confirmed this assumption disappears the possibility of recording from external sources by the SCART as the [b] RTD1073 [/ b] does not incorporate 'MPEG encoders'. : (
Hopefully the difference between the 1183 and the 1073 is precisely the function of recording MPEG.

Re: Main processor RTD 1183 MD
Hello Victor,
Isn't it closer to the realtek 1283 chip?
I am a bit surprised by this reference btw since most of the tests I read where considering that the LG was using the 1283 chipset, as many other recent high end realtek based mediaplayer.
Comparison between 1283 and 1073: http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22163
If there is a 1183 that is not the 1283 ^^ then it is probably in between if I understood the naming pattern of Realtek (xxx3 are there last generation chipsets, 10xx is a light version of 12xx, etc.).
Cheers,
Matt

¿Clon?, Realtek 1183DD.
Recupero el hilo, curiosa y actual evolución:
http://himedia.en.alibaba.com/product/379704481-210272385/RTD1183_HD_player.html
USB 3.0.
