Playing .TS files on the PC
Hello.
I recently acquired the MS450H and bumpy ride aside, with MS Harmony installed the options available were certainly expanded making of this box an even more desirable product.
However one of the issues I'm having trouble dealing with is reproducing the files on the PC.
I managed to copy a few video files over and while I have video without problem, I can't seem to get any audio neither via Media Player Classic nor Windows Media Player. I believe I have the codecs installed but it's possible I missed something.
Would like to ask for any suggestions on how to go around this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
welcome aboard
Once the .ts file is in your PC well copied, check filesizes matches...
Try different players, in linux I use VLC and it goes pretty well,
I think there is also vlc for windows, have a try and tell us. good luck

Re: Playing .TS files on the PC
Thanks for the reply. Well, oddly enough VLC certainly corrected that...
Now my question would be why.
Would like to be able to try and understand this situation and preferably correct it so that I could try to use these files directly in video editing software like Virtual Dub and so.
So, MPC/WMP fail, VLC win. What can be causing it, any idea?

Hi,
not sure as i am not a windows users, lets see if another user might help you.
I guess media player does not have the right codec installed, not user.
Try to rename the .ts into .mpeg or .mpg , to see if there is any change ....
