BT client, lighttpd, mysql?
Is it possible to run lighttpd, mysql and BT client on my MS409? I guess yes, since currently the MS400 already had samba and ftp server running successfully. I'd like to run torrentflux with my MS409

Hello Tesna,
welcome aboard
My guess is yes, this is all very open, and most of the packages are avaiable compiled for mipsel.
you are welcome to do testing, and share us with the results.
For the moment I am busy with this PipeManagement app.
Best regards and good luck

Re: BT client, lighttpd, mysql?
Hello vic1972,
I saw you work on PipeManager and it looks very useful. I make some changes into FW and create own "distribution". Now I run samba, lighttpd with PHP and rtorrent controlled by wTorrent PHP.
So why I write this - I think it should be better to join our forces to make this piece of hardware better.
Description of what I do is at forum http://forum.art-shop.cz/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49 (in czech, sorry, but I think the Google Translator can do the job) I try to describe what I create in a web interface:
- manage the channels (move, rename, delete)
- perform backup/restore of all settings
- add/remove schedule recording (there is still problem with activation of timer)
- view passed recordings
- view (or change) device settings (not fully done)
- perform service operation (start/stop samba or other services)
- manually restart the device (this is needed for activate schedule recording)
- control the rtorrent daemon using wTorrent
All this is created with meaning of translation to other languages (one simple file).
If You are interested, send me PM or contact me on ICQ.
Thanks.

Hello Keltek
welcome to this forum
Yes, sure, lets join forces
I have been in the forum you mention, and the translation is rather difficult,
could you post here or send me direct link to the firmware you mention with all the addons... thanks
is it based on the last official from lg?
Regarding PipeManagement, more interesting addons and features are to come ...
This is like a mine, and all options are open
Many regards to Czech people

Re: BT client, lighttpd, mysql?
Thank you Keltek for the different PMs
I wish I could have more time
I will test everything to check what can be of interest of our users in this forum, to be added to our custom firmware.
ok then, we keep in touch.
regards
Victor

Re: BT client, lighttpd, mysql?
I have little knowledge in compiling programs. Can anyone has a guide to compile and run transmission cli and transmission daemon on the LGMS400s?

Re: BT client, lighttpd, mysql?
I try it but without success. There are some limitations using the uclibc implementation. Maybe in future release. (maybe using different version of uclibc and pthread)
